Souped-Up Oatmeal
(for a high performance breakfast) Scramble or boil some egg whites (for protein) to go with this and you truly have a power breakfast that will get your body’s engine running and off to a great start!
Recipe type: Breakfast
  • ½ cup of Old Fashioned Oats (Don’t use Quick Oats!)
  • 2 Tablespoons of ground golden flax seed (or any ground flax seed you like)
  • Fresh blueberries (to top the oatmeal)
  • ⅞ cup of water (3/4 of a cup of water and half of another quarter cup)
  1. Place the oats and flax seed in a microwave safe bowl and mix to incorporate the flax seed and oats together.
  2. Add the water and cook in the microwave for 90 seconds
  3. Stir well
  4. Top with fresh blueberries
