Souped-Up Oatmeal
(for a high performance breakfast) Scramble or boil some egg whites (for protein) to go with this and you truly have a power breakfast that will get your body’s engine running and off to a great start!

Ingredients
- ½ cup of Old Fashioned Oats (Don’t use Quick Oats!)
- 2 Tablespoons of ground golden flax seed (or any ground flax seed you like)
- Fresh blueberries (to top the oatmeal)
- ⅞ cup of water (3/4 of a cup of water and half of another quarter cup)
Instructions
- Place the oats and flax seed in a microwave safe bowl and mix to incorporate the flax seed and oats together.
- Add the water and cook in the microwave for 90 seconds
- Stir well
- Top with fresh blueberries
